Is the Celebrants Collective an association?

In short, no. The Celebrants Collective is an online learning platform for Celebrants in Europe and beyond. Whilst there is a strong emphasis on community building and collective spirit, the key focus of the Celebrants Collective is the professional development of Celebrants through online learning and retreat conventions and workshops. Celebrant associations in general are professional self-regulatory bodies often with a training division, which seek to support and protect the interests of their members and to maintain their professional standards as Celebrants. You can be a member of the Celebrants Collective and of a Celebrant organisation at the same time.

How does the membership work?

Once you’ve familiarised yourself with all our  membership benefits, you can sign up for instant membership. Our annual members is 120 Euros a year, which is just ten Euros a month, paid in a one-off payment or monthly.

Once you’re all signed up you will be sent your login information and will be able to access your private account dashboard. From here, you’ll be able to engage with the learning materials and features in the Learning Lounge and Resources Room. You’ll also be sent a link to the Facebook group, where most of the live Q&A sessions with the expert contributors will take place and where you can engage with other members and you’ll be sent your Celebrants Collective badge which you can display on your website and marketing materials.

Is the Celebrants Collective open to anyone?

Yes! Whilst the Celebrants Collective HQ is based in Europe and our outlook is euro-centric, as is our language and scheduling times of our live sessions, in principal we welcome anyone who wants to sign-up, learn alongside us and be part of our community.

Do I have to be a member to attend the retreat convention?

The 2018 retreat convention is open to anyone who is a Celebrant, regardless of whether they are a member of the Celebrants Collective or not. However, Celebrants Collective members will have discounted retreat rates and only members are allowed to enter the Celebrants Collective awards. You can read all about the 2018 retreat here.

How can I submit a news story for the community news section?

You must be a member to submit a community news story, whether the story is about you or another member. To do so, log on to your member’s account, and on your account dashboard you will see the community news submission button, where you can submit your story.

Can I cancel my membership?

Whilst we’d be extremely sorry to see you go, you can cancel your membership at anytime. Refunds are not given, however. Cancelling your membership will have an immediate effect, but you’ll be able to use your account up until when you’ve paid for. Once cancellation takes effect, it will also remove your membership details from the system and your celebrant profile from the directory listing.
